rowoyMeet Rowoy, a new era of local AI.
A companion you can teach.

Own your intelligence
Meet Rowoy
A local AI companion you can shape through the work and examples you choose.
Talk through a question, work on a draft, or keep useful prompts close. Rowot Hatchling brings Rowoy to your desktop as a small, expressive companion.
Teach it with examples you keep in Intelligence Orbs, run Training locally on a supported Mac, then choose whether Rowoy uses the result.
Rowoy is preparing for a closed beta. Click Rowot to explore example Orbs.
Your companion
A little company for the workday.
Wake Rowot on your desktop. Open its Pet Wheel for the actions you choose: talk, bring back a saved prompt, read selected text, or take a small break. Let it rest when you want a quieter moment.
Watch Me lets the pet look toward your pointer. It does not read your screen or start Training.
Work with Rowoy
Choose a task. Keep the context intentional.
Start a writing or coding session and set what you want to achieve. Use your own drafts, explicitly read selected text, or connect a supported coding source. With Advisor enabled, Rowoy can review the connected work locally and offer guidance at meaningful points.
For example: “Check whether this draft answers the brief, then suggest one next step.”
Connected sources and local retention are choices. Rowoy does not automatically monitor every app.
Teach Rowoy
Show a reply you would actually want to use.
Write a request and the reply you prefer, then keep your chosen examples together in an Intelligence Orb.
Training runs separately on a supported local model. When a result is ready, you decide whether Rowoy uses it, and you can stop using it at any time.
Saving an Orb does not start Training, and a result is not a promise of better answers.
Local AI on your Mac
Choose the local model behind your companion.
Pet Talk and local AI assistance run with a model on your Mac. Choose a ready model or download one that fits your device. Chat and Training have different compatibility requirements; being able to chat with a model does not mean it can be trained in Rowoy.
Model downloads and optional connected services may use the network. Beta device and model requirements will be shared before invitations open.
A desktop companion
Make room for Rowot on your desktop.
In the Mac app, Wake Pet shows your companion. Talk, open the Pet Wheel, or let it rest.
On this website, clicking Rowot opens example Teach Orbs; it does not launch the Mac app or run a model.
Talk with Rowoy
A question, a draft, or a next step.
Ask the local model, rewrite a passage, or talk through a task in Pet Talk. If you like a reply or want something changed, save feedback and review it in Data before choosing examples for Teach.
The bar below Rowot on this website is a beta waitlist, not a live chat.
Play
Take a small break with Rowot.
Open the pet mini-game between stretches of work.
Templates
Keep the prompts you want to reuse.
Save a useful instruction and bring it back for the next draft or recurring task.
For example: “Make this clearer without changing the meaning.”
Daily Briefing
Return to the work you chose to save.
With Advisor and Local Retention enabled, review saved outcomes from the last active workday and follow their evidence links.
Plan Usage
See the limits around your connected work.
Check available plan usage from supported tools and connections.
Read Once
Bring in the text you choose.
Explicitly read selected or focused text from an allowed app for a question or rewrite. Rowoy may ask for the macOS permission needed for that action.
Sleep
A quieter moment, on your terms.
Let the companion nap. Wake it when you want it back.
Notifications
Return to a useful nudge.
Review the recent nudges around the sessions you enabled and clear older ones.
